Your first visit

You will need to arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment to give yourself some time to complete a little paperwork. After this you will be invited to watch a short video which explains a little about chiropractic and what you can expect during your initial consultation.

You will then be able to talk about your particular problem(s) with the chiropractor who will take a detailed case history. After this you will be given a thorough examination. You will be able to change in privacy and all female patients are given a gown to wear.

After the examination the chiropractor will give you a diagnosis and recommend treatment if appropriate. If you are in severe pain we may be able to start treatment straight away. If x-rays or other tests are necessary this will also be explained. On your next visit the chiropractor will explain everything about your problem in detail and exactly what treatment will include, and they will give you advice about what you can do to help yourself. The chiropractor will outline how many treatments you are likely to need and how quickly you can expect to feel better.

You will be given plenty of opportunity to ask questions and you will be given a “Report Of Findings” booklet explaining everything about your condition to take home.

If we can’t help you then we will be happy to refer you to your GP or onto another specialist.
